The funny thing about all this ...Good post, Brad.

The funny thing about all this is how the sports media is revealed to be as lefty as the rest of the MSM. The old model of sports journalism was pretty much boosterism, but that all changed about 40 years ago.

It's one reason why relations between teams and those who cover the team are so contentious. The sports writers, who fancy themselves as something more than chroniclers of games, often feel the need to insert themselves in the narrative. That's not always a bad thing -- I don't think we want to go back to a sports page full of Sid Hartmans. Still, most of these sportswriters are pretty much full of crap when they take themselves as seriously as this Florio guy does.Mr. Dhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13920907647566015611noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6695120232450962671.post-17845097487437045282009-10-15T13:11:48.636-05:002009-10-15T13:11:48.636-05:00My favorite part is where Florio says that the NFL...My favorite part is where Florio says that the NFL is a business operating without government intervention. Tell that to the Viqueens and the 31 other teams playing in taxpayer subsidized stadiums....

Rush dodged a bullet here as well if Checketts was going to give no say in the running of the club to junior partners.Bike Bubbahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08193546045614393425noreply@blogger.com
