G.O.M. Quiz

The old stereotype is that little boys dream of becoming astronauts, cowboys or firefighters. So here's a question. When you were in elementary school, what did you dream about being?

  1. Well, I suppose I'd better get the ball rolling. When I was a young lad I wanted to be a hermit. There are some news days when this still seems like a mighty fine idea. But it would only work if my lovely bride felt like living in the forest. And that's about as likely as President Obama fighting Congress for a 15% flat tax.

  2. I wanted to be a baseball player or an NFL punter. I could hit a baseball pretty well and I could punt decently, but there was no chance of either thing happening.

  3. My dreams always revolved around sports as well; primarily being a major league baseball player, or playing international hockey. My dad would take me to go see the Russians or the Czechs whenever they played at the old Met. I dreamed about playing against those guys. Even now, if I could go back and fulfill any one fantasy in my life, it would be to have played on the 1980 olympic hockey team.
