Hey, all. Long time, no see. This is what happens when you don't check an email account for six weeks or so. I only yesterday saw KD's invitation to contribute to this fine literary forum.
Of course, I'd be honored to be one of the grumps. I haven't written much (ok, any) lately, and I do miss it somewhat. When I hung up Wannabe to pursue another project, I learned (happily) that there were, in fact, others locally covering the Life issue more thoroughly and eloquently than I could. I found myself writing a lot of "me, too" posts and not adding a lot of original thought, so it kind of died on the vine.
I also stuck my toe in the Twitter pool. I still don't see the point.
I'll probably fire up Wannabe again at some point, but not until I get over a certain personal hurdle (which I can't write much about until it's over). Until then, GOM will serve nicely as a forum for random bits of snark and wiseassery, which seems to be my most suitable milieu anyway.
See you in the funny pages...

Dan is here! Excellent!
ReplyDeleteYou just can't have too many random bits of snark and wiseassery. It is second only to pushing peoples' buttons; not that I would ever do that. Heh heh heh
ReplyDeleteLooks like we are almost up to the grumpy dozen.
I'll be the first to give a big 'ol G.O.M. cheer:
Get Off My Lawn!
welcome, dan.
ReplyDeletegood to see you again.
Stover's alive!!! I thought that I might have killed you with that roast in July. Ah well, if at first you don't succeed.... :)
ReplyDeleteDan, great to hear from you, bro!! You're a valuable addition to this venue, for sure!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the kind welcome, gents!
ReplyDeleteOh, and Picklesworth, no, the roast didn't kill me. However, it did have a hallucenigenic effect. I now have a recurring nightmare that the US government has drifted to the left of France.
