Thanks, NFL

Unfortunately, it looks like the group of investors wanting to buy the St. Louis Rams have dropped Rush Limbaugh from its inclusion.

I'm sad that Checketts et al didn't have the guts to stand up to those trying to bully Limbaugh out of the venture.

At the same time, I want to thank the NFL, its Commissioner, and certain owners for communicating so clearly this week that it does not want or need money from people who think like Rush Limbaugh (i. e., me).

I appreciate the clarity. I promise not to further tarnish the image of your league by spending any more money on NFL merchandise.

  1. I, for one, have been watching it far less in recent years, but it has nothing to do with this. As ol' NW would say, "Yer whipped." I'd like to think that sobriety has made the endless commercials intolerable.

  3. Don't forget to remember this when the ViQueens ask for hundreds of millions of dollars for a new stadium. Or when you're in the jury box when yet another footballer is in trouble.

Ya know, even apart from the Limbaugh thing, maybe that's a good idea.....maybe the antics of players would subside if they weren't earning ten million bucks a year.....and thus couldn't afford the antics and the lawyers ya need to protect yourself after them.

  4. I'm pretty sure the Limbaugh group was buying the franchise to make it suceed. Isn't that what the NFL wants to see? Political correctness is ruining this country.
