From the Dept. of Bad Analogies

Rep. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) on the possibility of Republican Scott Brown winning the Senate seat formerly occupied by Ted Kennedy:

“Why would you hand the keys to the car back to the same guys whose policies drove the economy into the ditch and then walked away from the scene of the accident?"

  1. Epic fail? That's putting it mildly. That is meta-stupid.

  3. If Brown pulls this off, think of the delicious irony. It was Ted Kennedy himself who, in 2004, urged the Mass. state legislature to change the law which gave the sitting Governor the authority to fill a vacant US Senate seat. But now, the law that Kennedy pushed for (special election for a vacant Senate seat) could lead to a Republican winning the seat he held since 1962.
