First, for manly Viking fans: The Bacon Weave.
Ingredients
Directions
- 1 pound bacon of your choice
- 1 cup of cheese of your choice
- other ideas are warmly welcome. I've even put scrambled eggs in this!!!
Directions
- Pre heat oven to 400.
- Weave 1 pound of bacon, and place into a large cast iron skillet. (see photos)
- Cook bacon until it's done, 20-30 min. You want it cooked, but even if you LOVE crispy bacon, you don't want this crispy as heck, you want to be able to roll it without breaking.
- Once done, carefully take it out of the pan and transfer to a cooling rack. Sprinkle cheese onto bacon, and then roll it up, almost like sushi.
- Let it rest for about 2-3 minutes on the seam, so it stays sealed.
- Slice, and have a heart attack!
And then, for sissy Saint's fans. Eat this shrimp dish; or, just vomit into a bed of lettuce and serve cold.
That's substantial, KD.
ReplyDeleteThat bacon one looks absolutely delicious. I think I'm going to do it tommorow.
ReplyDeletei think i'll have a shrimp salad while watching the game.
ReplyDeleteAnd they say us men can't weave! If it's important enough, we can do anything.
ReplyDeleteThe bacon thing - looks so grossly indulgent! But that's from a girl who wants to watch her fats and carbs.
ReplyDeleteI think I'd skip the cheese and put in boneless BBQ beef ribs.
ReplyDeleteBoneless ribs? What's next, fat free bacon? Decaffeinated coffee? People these days....
ReplyDeleteWell normally I wouldn't eat boneless; but I'm not going to put bones into this heavenly creation and not be able to inhale it in about 5 bites.
ReplyDeleteUgh. I'll be with Gino enjoying a Po' Boy, some shrimp and jambalaya washed down with chicory....
