A New Dawn

So, as the resident youngest Grump on this here blog, I'm looking for context and encouragement, and maybe even comfort after the passage of the Pelosi/Obama/EU healthcare bill yesterday.

Has this kind of thing happened before? How did ya'll react with Medicare and Social Security and the War on Poverty?

  1. PB, here is some encouragement that has really worked for the ObamaNation sheeple:

  2. Palm Boy - the ageless wisdom is this: trust God. No matter what, God IS in control. This abortion thing - so much abortion already, and this heaps more abortion on that - there is surely judgment ahead for this flagrant insensitivity to God's grief over the huge number of abortions.

And it's evil control, and that grieves God too.

Just put your trust in God's power and be aware of God's anger, and something will come before too long to set this straight. And wait - because it may not take time, but wait, be patient. And pray.

Excellent advice, Gabrielle. As for your question, PB, I'm pretty sure I cried at some point, but I was only 2 years old when it was enacted.

  5. we have a long tradition in this country, palm boy.
where each generation does the 'deliverance' to the next.

my grandparents acts in the voting booth screwed my parents with social secutity...

my parents, in turned, screwed me with medicare, on top of the screwing i was gonna get from my grandparents...

not to be outdone, my generation is screwing yours with social security, medicare, and now obamacare...

its fair to assume your own grandkids wont even feel themselves fart by the time your generation gets its turn to inspire some squealing in others.

its a reverse ponzi, where those at the bottom really do get more.

  6. Actually, I messed that up. I meant to say that it may take time, and I said that it may not take time. Maybe that was a Freudian slip. Maybe it won't take time, maybe it will. Hard to say.

  7. Palm Boy, I felt exactly like you did when President Lincoln decided to reprovision Fort Sumter.

  8. I remember that, I felt the same as well.
