Ha, ha -- You throw like a liberal!

Local man tries to hit Sarah Palin with tomatoes, hits cop instead:
BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (FOX 9) - A man was arrested for throwing tomatoes at Sarah Palin during her book signing on Monday at the Mall of America.

Jeremy Olson, 33, allegedly threw two tomatoes from the second balcony, however did not come close to hitting Palin.

Bloomington Police report that Bloomington Commander Mark Stehlik was struck in the face with one of the tomatoes and
[Olson] may face charges for assaulting a police officer. Olson was booked at the Bloomington jail. He was arrested for suspicion of assault and disorderly conduct.
.
I think they should throw the book at him.

No, I mean literally. Cuff him, put him up against a wall, and have cops throw copies of "Going Rogue" at him.

And don't let him wear a Nutty Buddy.

  2. If he is 33, that marks him as born in 1976, and he probably never thew a ball as a kid, on account of his flower power parents and their safe-minding ways of child rearing.

    Really, hardly his fault.

  6. reminds me of those nerdy little boys in grade school who use to shoot spitballs at the cute girls, just to get their attention.

usually, we grew out of it by high school, and started making passes at them instead. but, obviously, not all.

Hey, I was born about then, and I can throw (and hit what I mean to)! Oh wait ... I'm a girl.

You guys are failing to pull in the Ivory Tower aspect ... tomatoes are historical social commentary as well, undoubtably this guy is an intellectual elitist. Were they rotten?

(I actually appreciate the geek factor in the tomato reference. As an aside.)

  8. before Gino beats me to it, I used "girl" ironically, in the vernacular cliche sense (throws like a ... ) ... I am not of course *now* a girl, but a woman grown

who just typo'd "growl" instead, snicker
