Storm sewer follies

From an email:

South Minneapolis - 35W and 38th Street.

It's the confluence of 3 or 4 major storm sewer lines. Just a really horrible design decision.

It used to be as predictable as old faithful, and neighbors used to gather on the bridge to watch it during storms.

They bolted the cover down now, but it still breaks the bolts every now and again.

  1. I can see why this would be a real problem to drivers. Ufda!

  2. I think they should designate it a state park and set up a souvenir stand on the bridge. They'd probably pull in all kinds of tourists from as far away as Iowa.
