I went to North Padre 3 years in a row; but, I remember that one well because our van broke down in some little town outside Corpus Christi on Easter weekend. The local mechanic was closing up, and we had to get towed back to Corpus. We told him about the 66 days below freezing, and he told us the summer before they had like 57 days above 100. I'll take the cold over the heat any day. KD
