Did Bush or Cheney make a visit to Canada?

The former POTUS and VP had DUI/DWIs.

And as we all have heard, Tom Emmer had two DUIs decades ago.

According to Canadian Law, they are considered members of an Inadmissible Class.

This draconian law has resulted in less tourism for Canada.
I wonder what Bush/Cheney/Emmer have to say about being part of the Inadmissible Class?

I suppose Emmer won't be bringing bus loads of seasoned citizens to Canada on drug runs.

That might be a good political strategy for Mark Dayton. He'll raise your taxes and visit Canada!!!

  1. Exactly how is this implemented? I can see it being done for people applying for work visas, but are we to believe that they can pull a "Brady check plus" with no help from the U.S. government to screen every passport holder at the border?

  2. I don't know of anyone personally, but I have heard stories of hunters and fishermen being turned back at the Canadian border. Four guys in a suburban with all their gear, sent back because one guy had a DUI years ago.

    Not good for tourism.
